This is the only dive shop I would ever recommened! I have been to most of the dive shops in the Houston area and none have come close to the experience of MAXIMUM SCUBA! All the staff are very skilled divers, they are all extermely helpful, patient, and they really do care about the students! There is no sales pressure and if you do buy gear from them they offer many great incentives! Not only have I become a better diver in a short time but I had a load of fun and smiles doing it!I recommened MAXIMUM SCUBA to anyone over any other shop; hands down the BEST IN TEXAS!

My grandson and I were introduced to Maximum Scuba diving through the Groupon Discover Scuba. This is a great deal. Our instructor made our experience so relaxed and fun that we both have gone on to complete the Open Water and Advanced Open Water classes with Carl Griffin instructing and are looking forward to taking the Enriched Air Nitrox Class so we will be ready for a Scuba trip to Bonaire next summer. Great instructors, good quality gear included in the classes.

This is Camp Casa Mare's third year to work with Maximum Scuba. It is not by chance we have received excellent service and impeccable instruction three years in a row! We have been fortunate to find a dive shop that understands and fits our program. Our Dive masters and instructors were Jeff Gordon and Dustin Gelfo for our five teenage Girl Scouts and one leader. Instantly Jeff began to connect with the girls. From day one the girls were comfortable and excited to learn how to scuba dive. As with any new material that someone is learning, being nervous is normal and our instructor, Dustin was fantastic at calming the nerves of the girls. Both of our instructors were great at showing their excitement under water and were patient, kind and enthusiastic about diving. Jeff's enthusiasm for diving was contagious and passed along to our new divers. They can't wait to continue diving and master other levels within Padi. Jeff, Dustin and the Maximum Scuba team exemplifies Padi standards and our Girl Scout standards, above and beyond! The girls even loved being at the scuba shop! They said everyone was so nice and helpful. Some even wanted to work there! To see five teenagers smile and laugh is priceless. If I could give six stars this would be the shop that gets it!

I came upon Maximum scuba after speaking with 3 other dive shops for scuba certification and being disappointed by the lack of customer service by all 3, from personnel that did a good job of making me feel as if I was wasting their time to having my reservation for certification class being cancelled TWICE. I spoke with a girl name Callie (*sp) at the Seabrook location who was both, very upbeat and excited about scuba AND very informative/helpful. I made an hour drive to attend the class in Seabrook because of the reception I received from the shop over the phone and was in NO way disappointed when I got to the classroom. Everyone I encountered from our instructor "Neil", the Owner Jeff, Dive Masters both Dustin's, Steve, Pat etc. was excited about what they were doing and it SHOWED. I will say that for anyone not near Seabrook, there IS a Richmond location (I realized later) that is owned by the same guy and a few of our dive masters were out of that location and had the same spirit and attitude. I have a dive shop literally 1.3 miles away from my house and I choose to go to Maximum Scuba's Richmond location (23 miles from me) instead because I refuse to give my hard earned money to people that don't earn it with customer service. Beyond that, The owner JEFF will match any price you can find that beats his price on the same service or product. All he asks is that you provide him with the price either in writing or a web link. If you are reading this and you need scuba gear or ESPECIALLY classes, do YOURSELF a favor and call them so you can see for yourself what I am trying to convey here. These people are great, love what they do, and will prove it to you with their knowledge, service and upbeat positive attitudes.

Here we are a week after the scout leader course and I'm just getting a chance to catch my breath. I just wanted to take a moment to say, "thanks". You helped make the course something special.
Several of our participants said they had had an opportunity to do a discover SCUBA event in the past but by far found this to have been the most different, interesting, and exciting opportunity ever due to the unique venue. I have had a chance to read the participants' evaluations and by far your event was the highlight of the weekend and generated the greatest volume of photos and video.
Your staff were professional yet approachable and did a great job of representing Maximum SCUBA. I had several who commented that they would be looking you up for their future diving activities.
Thanks for your support of Scouting and thanks to PADI for sending me to you. Maximum-SCUBA was the right choice.

I took a private class with Pat Keller to get certified before I go to Costa Rica, and Pat really worked with my schedule to get all the class and dives completed before I leave. He was a great instructor! He really knew all the material, and he made the class fun and enjoyable. I feel like the information really stuck with me. On the dives, he was very in-tune to what was going on and had great advice on how to become the best diver I can be. I look forward to getting my advanced open water and adventure dive certifcations with Pat!

Hey Jeff,
I am thankful to you. You are a wonderful teacher. I would not have dived in since I was scared of deep water (though it was just ten feet). I could trust you with the waters and had the most wonderful sight, I always loved watching the sunlight dim through the water as we go in. Thanks a ton. I will definitely get the certification done. I am not scared anymore, I feel more comfortable using the diving gear and the tank.

I became a PADI certified diver in 1976. My instructors were strict, the classroom challenging, and my open water dive was on December 6th in NW Arkansas with snow falling! I decided to re-certify since I didn't really dive since 1978. I went to Maximum Scuba based on reviews I read on YELP! and they exceeded my expectations. Today, PADI certification is totally different due to computers and equipment. Carl, my instructor, and all the divemasters at Maximum Scuba were super-patient and very encouraging. I knew a lot of the stuff and since I'm in the medical field my questions were pretty in-depth. Carl knew every answer and gave thoughtful understandable responses. When I bought my equipment, Jeff spent time with me to understand my wants and helped to education me on what my needs were. He then matched me up with the appropriate equipment (which wasn't the most expensive!). This experience has turned an interest into an extended family. It's not a bunch of thrill seekers, but a group of people passionate about the sport of diving and desiring to educate students in a through fashion to ensure their safety. It's a great model. I see why Maximum Scuba receives such awesome reviews!
